The AILit Framework
Empowering Learners for the Age of AI: An AI Literacy Framework for Primary and Secondary Education (AILit Framework) is a joint initiative of the European Commission and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). Code.org and leading international experts support its development.
This draft is intended to elicit feedback from educators and stakeholders. We hope it sparks a dialogue about what AI literacy means and how teaching and learning must evolve in an age of AI.

AI Literacy Implementation Resources
Practical tools and activities to help you explore, understand, and apply key AI literacy concepts. From original content to carefully chosen resources, these materials will help you bring AI literacy into your classroom.
These resources have not been reviewed or endorsed by the European Commission and the OECD.
Exemplars
We are developing and promoting high-quality exemplars of AI Literacy. Exemplars are concrete, actionable resources—such as student and teacher curriculum materials, assessments, and professional development modules.
Assessment
We aim to explore how AI competences can be measured in meaningful ways. We’re partnering with assessment providers to investigate what’s possible and will share insights, resources, and emerging best practices as we learn.
Engagement
We’re involving educators, partners, and stakeholders throughout the development and review process. Ongoing communication through webinars, implementation support, and collaborative input helps ensure the framework is relevant, usable, and widely adopted.
Our Steering Committee
TeachAI's steering committee is comprised of global non-profit organizations working at the intersection of education, workforce, and technology. They are joined by over 170 advisory committee members and participating government agencies. Learn more about the TeachAI community.
